COVID-19 post-lockdown transition period for Perth and Peel regions direction.

The State Government has instigated a COVID-19 post-lockdown transition period for the areas of Perth and Peel effective from 6:00pm, Friday 5 February until 12:01am, Sunday 14 February 2021. As a consequence, the Chief Health Officer’s Visitors to Residential Aged Care Facilities Direction (Direction) covering the Perth and Peel areas remains extant. Previous Directions remain current for the remainder of the State.

Updated Visitors to Residential Aged Care Facilities Direction

the WA Premier recently announced a COVID-19 lockdown for the areas of Perth, Peel and South West region effective from 6 pm, 31 January until 6 pm, Friday 5 February 2021. Subsequently, the Chief Health Officer has issued an updated Visitors to Residential Aged Care Facilities Direction (Direction) covering the geographic areas impacted by the lockdown. Previous Directions remain current for geographical areas outside the affected areas.

Effective from 6pm Sunday 31 January 2021 until 6pm Friday 5 February 2021, the Perth metropolitan area, Peel and South West regions will enter a COVID-19 related lockdown.

Meadow Springs residential care revised visit arrangements 10 July 2020

Preventing exposure remains central to protecting ourselves and others from contracting the virus. International and national evidence indicates that older people and those with other serious health conditions or a weakened immune system are more susceptible to contracting and being gravely affected by the virus. Given the level of risk we will continue to adopt an extremely precautionary approach in responding to the virus.

Further to recent correspondence and subsequent initiatives announced by the Prime Minister relating to residential aged care facilities during the COVID-19 pandemic I write to advise you of revised staged visit arrangements at our Menora Gardens residential care facility.
